Willy Conley, Co–Vice Chair, An award-winning playwright, director and actor,recently appeared in the ASL film, "Wrong Game". His other film and TV credits include: Behind the Scenes 2: Wrong Game, Law and Order: Criminal Intent, Stille Liebe (Secret Love), CBS Sunday Morning with Charles Kuralt, Silent Network’s Festival III. He served as a judge and as the Gallaudet University liaison to WETA and CINE for the Deaf Cinema Festival that aired with Through Deaf Eyes. He taught Literature and Film and Deaf Characters in Literature and Film while with the English Department. His book, Vignettes of the Deaf Character and Other Plays will be published in 2009 by Gallaudet University Press. Currently, Conley is professor and chairperson of the Theatre Arts Department at Gallaudet. Willy is the producer and director for the opening program and the WORLDEAF Cinema Festival Awards gala program. |
