Scott Carollo, Co–Vice Chair, was invited to join Gallaudet University WORLDEAF Cinema Festival in 2008 to share his expertise in Graphic Design. Prior to joining Gallaudet he served as Director of Graphic Design for California State University at Los Angeles where he had the final authority for all design projects from conception to production. He was primarily responsible for guiding, advising and supervising students and professional program staff in design efforts. Prior to that he gained valuable experience as an intern with ABC News performing such tasks as designing "over the shoulder" graphics and captions for KABC-TV news program, and designed advertisement layout for newsletter and catalogs and, updated the layout and graphics for the KABC-TV newsletter. Since joining Gallaudet, Scott has further exemplified and shared his simplistic, contemporary graphic design expertise with the campus community. He was invited to design the Gallaudet University Holiday card for former President I. King Jordan for four years. In recent years, he has begun to focus on conference branding design in such conferences as CEASD 2007 and State of the Science Conference on Hearing Enhancement 2006. Asked by Linda K. Jordan to lead the effort in fundraising for the Gallaudet University Art Gallery, he organized three fundraisers, which raised $15,000.00 for the gallery. In his spare time he enjoys doing freelance work with clients outside of Gallaudet University to ensure that he stays abreast of current trends in the business world so that he can share positive experiences from the corporate environment, which he very much enjoys sharing with his students. |
